Aluminum Compact Busway Plug-In BuswayManufacturer: Jiangsu Jiuwei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. |
As busway technology and plug-in technology continue to evolve, the process parameters of plug-in busway produced by different factories — or even by the same factory at different times — may vary. So when adding tap-off outlets or new plug-in boxes to an existing plug-in busway run, the process parameters must be carefully verified.
The difference between plug-in busway and compact busway is that plug-in busway has pre-formed tap-off openings on the compact busway housing, allowing a plug-in box's pins to be safely and conveniently inserted to draw power — creating a true plug-and-play effect.

Low-voltage enclosed plug-in busway — also known as low-voltage enclosed plug-in busway — is commonly used in high-rise buildings, factories, and other structures with numerous branch circuits. The design places tap-off outlets along the busway trunk, and plug-in boxes connect to terminal meter panels or equipment. Each plug-in box is fitted with copper pins and a circuit breaker: the copper pins insert into the busway trunk to draw power, and the breaker's output terminals connect via cable to deliver power to the load. Plug-in box rated currents range from 80A to 1600A; for currents above roughly 800A, a busway tap-off (T-connection) is generally recommended instead. See the busway plug-in box product page for details.
