Copper-Aluminum Composite Busway and Alloy Busway mainly use a copper-clad aluminum alloy busbar as the main conductor. Aluminum Alloy Busway generally skips the copper- and tin-plating process, since plating aluminum busbars with copper and then tin is costly. By comparison, Copper-Aluminum Composite Busway and Alloy Busway offer high cost-effectiveness, strong current-carrying capacity, and a high safety factor; because Aluminum Alloy Busway is not copper- or tin-plated, its current-carrying capacity drops by roughly 70% once the aluminum busbar surface oxidizes, which can lead to electrical accidents. Enclosed Plug-In Busway, also called Low-Voltage Enclosed Plug-In Busway, is commonly used in high-rise buildings, factory plants, and other buildings with many main branch circuits. The product's structure has tap-off outlets designed along the busway trunk, using plug-in boxes to connect to terminal meter boxes or equipment. The plug-in box is fitted with copper pins and a circuit breaker; the copper pins plug into the busway trunk to draw power, and the breaker's output terminal connects a cable to deliver power to the end device. Busway plug-in box rated currents range from 80A to 1600A; for currents generally above 800A, a busway T-connection is recommended.
