Distribution Busway Project: Metering Substation Distribution Room, Tahe Oilfield, Xinjiang

Jiangsu Jiuwei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. recently secured a Compact Busway order for the Tahe Oilfield project in Xinjiang. The project is part of the 2019 phase-one production capacity construction project in a Tahe Oilfield block, with Compact Busway used in a dual-purpose pipeline metering substation.

The Tahe Oilfield is operated by the Northwest Oilfield Branch of Sinopec, located in the northern Tarim Basin of Xinjiang. It is China's first Paleozoic marine-facies oilfield with reserves in the hundred-million-ton class. In 1997, wells Sha-46 and Sha-48, drilled by the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources' Northwest Petroleum Bureau, produced high-yield oil and gas flows, marking the birth of the Tahe Oilfield.

On August 13, 2019, the Tahe Oilfield's cumulative crude oil output surpassed 100 million tons, making it China's first marine carbonate oilfield to reach that milestone in individual output — a significant step forward for the exploration and development of China's marine oil and gas resources.

This project's Compact Busway is used for power distribution in a metering substation's distribution room, using a high-specification 3+2 five-wire distribution room busway configured strictly per the design drawings. The Busway is currently awaiting installation; once installed, the distribution room will be ready to be powered on.
